Ellery Adams‘ Supper Club cozy mystery series is set in one of my favorite places, the Shenandoah Valley. James Henry is the hero and the series begins soon after he returns to his tiny fictional hometown Quincy’s Gap. He’s had to give up a beloved job – teaching English at William & Mary College in Virginia – to return home to live with his father, a recent widower. Divorced, overweight and working as the town librarian, James finds a new lease on life, new friends and solves a few murders through the weight-loss supper club he joins, the “Flab Five”.
