Hearts through History’s Romance Through the Ages contest 2019
I’m so excited to announce that my pseudonym Karen Grey’s as yet unpublished novel, What I’m Looking For is a finalist in HTH’s RTTA contest in the Modern History category.
I’ve been on a journey with this title, learning so much about writing, specifically my process (including my bad habits), and working in the romance genre. The series is set in the late 1980’s, so it doesn’t fit neatly into romance sub-categories. It did win the NJRW Put Your Heart in a Book contest in the Contemporary Series category (back in 2017 when it was called The Way You Make Me Feel and I was writing as K.E. White). Contests are one way that I’ve gathered feedback on the book, but I’d stopped entering them until I saw that the RTTA included the time period 1950s-1980s, where it seems to fit perfectly.
Winners will be announced at HTH’s annual meeting during the RWA contest, in late July so keep your fingers crossed for me, please!
