From the Publisher:
“DON’T LOOK BACK
Under siege. That’s how Ryker Jones feels. The Lost Bastards Investigative Agency he opened up with his blood brothers has lost a client in a brutal way. The past he can’t outrun is resurfacing, threatening to drag him down in the undertow. And the beautiful woman he’s been trying to keep at arm’s length is in danger…and he’ll destroy anything and anyone to keep her safe.
Paralegal Zara Remington is in over her head. She’s making risky moves at work by day and indulging in an affair with a darkly dangerous PI by night. There’s a lot Ryker isn’t telling her and the more she uncovers, the less she wants to know. But when all hell breaks loose, Ryker may be the only one to save her. If his past doesn’t catch up to them first…
Full of twists and turns you won’t see coming, DEADLY SILENCE is New York Times bestselling author Rebecca Zanetti at her suspenseful best.”
From the review at Hot Listens:
“4.5 Hearts: I’m so glad that they got Karen White to do this series. After listening to her narrate the Sin Brothers, it was great to have her back to take us on this journey with Blood Brothers. I like her ability to voice alpha male characters and women characters. The real unique voice in this series is the voice of the “good doctor”. She sounds exactly how I would expect a person like this woman would sound. If you haven’t tried Karen White, I highly recommend her.”
From the review at Geeky Bloggers Book Blog:
“Karen White did the narration and she did great. Her and Zanetti make a great duo. She has the pacing needed for this high octane type of read. I totally recommend the book and narration!”
My recording experience:
Fans of the Sin Brothers series, Zanetti has taken us back to that world! This is such a fun spinoff – we do get to see the Gray brothers again – and yes, it was a huge challenge when all these guys were in a room together – but the new set of brothers have had a completely different upbringing. The diabolical Dr. Madison is back, too, more evil than ever. I had fun with this set of brothers in a couple of ways. One, they are more flawed and two, they felt to me as though their social selves were still adolescent – an interesting contrast to their big manly physical selves. With Zara we have another feisty heroine, with a very sad backstory but to me Grams and Greg steal the show. So a lot to like in this first book!
