His Secrets Can Destroy Her
From the moment Josie laid eyes on sexy, mysterious Shane Dean, she was in love. Their desire ignited a passionate affair, and within weeks, Shane had slipped a ring on her finger. It seemed her every fantasy was coming true . . . until her new husband disappeared without a trace. Now, two years and one broken heart later, Josie is shocked when the hospital calls: Shane has been found . . . at a crime scene with no memory of how he got there.
Her Love Can Save Him
Shane can’t remember the blue-eyed angel at his bedside-or who he even is-but he knows something isn’t right. His hearing is razor sharp, his physical strength incredible, and the urge to protect Josie overwhelming. For powerful enemies are hunting him, and Josie is the key to discovering why. As Shane struggles to unravel his past, dangerous new truths come to light. Can he protect the only woman he’s ever loved? And can Josie trust a man she thought she knew-one who carries such a deadly secret?

From the review at Eargasms Audiobook Reviews:

“I listened to the audiobook narrated by Karen White, who knocks it out of the ballpark! I have listened to other books by this actress and enjoyed them but this one was above and beyond. She really added to the smexy scenes and made them come to life. I am talking a work of art with the tone, pace and emotion she adds to her voice. Seriously fantastic and I hope she does the rest of the series. It is rare that a woman can get me squirming from the read, but she sells it bigtime!
I am super excited to see what happens next in the series. With dishy brothers who have intense Alpha written all over them it is bound to be just as fabulous as this one! The ebooks are out for most of the series but I am holding out for the audiobook cause it gave me super happy ears!!”

From the review at The Reading Date:

Karen White performs this audiobook, and this is my first experience with her narration…White’s performance conveyed the right tone for this story and made the action come alive. Josie’s voice sounded appropriately weary because of all of the crazy stuff happening around her, and the performance evolves with the character, as Josie gets feistier later in the story. I liked White’s male voices in this book- very convincing and not overdone. Malloy, Shane, the brothers, and Tom all had distinct voices. I’d stick with the audio for the sequel.”

From the review at I Am, Indeed:

“Narration is more than capably provided by Karen White, who deftly delineates the character voices and points of view without the change in pitch, delivery or tone becoming a distraction or feeling inappropriate.  I had a few concerns when requesting this for review, both out of my preferred genre, and what I assumed to be a very male-heavy plot, but White’s narration fit perfectly and kept me entertained and involved in the story throughout the time I spent listening.”

From the review at Hot Listens:

“Karen White is an experienced narrator…there isn’t much to criticize about her technique, so in this case it comes down to how much you enjoy her style.  Her interpretation of Shane was excellent; I clearly got his possessiveness, his strength, as well as his softer side. Her rendition of Josie yields a strong heroine with relatable insecurities. I got a good understanding of her courage, and the end result is a very likable heroine…I highly recommend this audio to any fan of Romantic suspense. The plot, the characters, and this great interpretation make Forgotten Sins a super entertaining listen.”

From the review at The Geeky Bloggers Book Blog:

“Karen White was really good at catching the “tone” of Forgotten Sins. She had the right pacing for the thrilling parts and knew when to slow it down a pinch for the heart to hearts! I will be continuing this on audio even if I have to wait :)”

From the review at Rabid Reads:

This was my first experience with Karen White as a narrator, and I have to say that I was impressed. It took a couple of chapters for her to get the pacing down pat, but once she found her rhythm there was no stopping her! White’s tone mirrored the author’s writing to perfection; she successfully conveyed all of the characters’ emotions in any given scene, and also managed to capture the sexiness of Dean’s Southern twang. Needless to say, I enjoyed the narrator’s delivery, and will definitely be listening to SWEET REVENGE instead of reading it. What an outstanding performance!”

From the review at Mostly Book Obsessed:

“After listening to Forgotten Sins, I know why Karen White is such a popular narrator, especially for romance audiobooks.  She did such an amazing job, not only portraying Josie, but Shane too!  I was a little bit worried at how Shane’s character might come off being narrated by a female since, you know, he’s a killer and all, but Karen White did a superb job with his POV scenes.  I loved Forgotten Sins the first time I read it, and loved it even more on audio.  Book two, Sweet Revenge, was just released on audio (same narrator) and I’m crossing my fingers that book 3, Blind Faith, will be released on audio too because that was one of my favorites of the series.  Check out the audiobook if you’ve had this book on your TBR!”

My Recording Experience:
I’ve been having a blast recording this series and I’m so glad I’ve discovered author Rebecca Zanetti!  Her heroines are wonderfully tortured emotionally and deliciously alpha, heroines feisty and full of heart.  And her narrative writing flows so well that it’s a breeze to record.  I’ve already recorded #2 in the series, Matt’s story SWEET REVENGE.  Can’t wait for the next one.

This is very different from my more humorous contemporaries Christine but I think the premise is cool and the thriller aspect is well done.
