BEACHCOMBERS by Nancy Thayer

More then a hint of Jane Austin and LITTLE WOMEN makes this a breezy summer escape. Handsome widower Jim Fox finds his house overflowing with women when two of his adult daughters move back home to Nantucket to join the one still there and he rents out his backyard cottage to a divorcée to make up for his loss of contracting jobs. Narrator Karen White gets the love and jealousies of the grown sisters just right while making all the characters believable and engaging. With White’s capable handling, each person’s story draws one in and ultimately leaves one as satisfied as a weekend getaway. D.G. © AudioFile 2010, Portland, Maine [Published: SEPTEMBER 2010]
